BEACH OF PETROCHORI

The area around Petrochori is considered part of the kingdom of Ancient Pylos under King Nestor (now named Chora Town). Voidokilia beach, is about 800 meters away from Petrochori beach. Also it is referred in the Homeric epics as "sandy Pylos".
